Today we try and find out what effect different yeast strains have on the same beer. One batch of Pale Ale is split between four yeast strains, and we taste the results. Homebrew Science!!!!!
We take to the streets of old Dublin to explore some of the city's lost brewing heritage. John "The Beer Nut" Duffy is our guide as we follow the history of Dublin beer from dozens of busy Victorian breweries down to the last gasps of independence in the mid-20th century, before the modern microbrewery revival.

The National Homebrew Club of Ireland present the final judging day of the 2015 National Homebrew Championships. I went along to capture the atmosphere of the day, as I spoke to Club President Rossa O'Neill and Club Secretary James Keane. I also catch up with some of the judges as they go through the process of finding the best beer.
